FINALLY!
It's my favorite time of the year!! Not because of pumpkin spice though. I grew up in Minnesota were you can actually smell fall coming. This year we had the chance to be in Mn when the beginning of Autumn started happening. I completely forgot the smell of decaying leaves, and the crisp air when fall finally arrives. I get this buzzing, tingling feeling in my head. Maybe from the crisp air? Either way, it's just not the same in the south, and I just missed seeing the leaves changing. Hopefully next year I can be there when the trees put on their show.
I am not a big fan of the pumpkin spice craze when it comes to coffee shops. It never tastes right to me. I would prefer to choose something other than pumpkin if I am buying from a coffee shop. Like, salted caramel, or praline. When I want that pumpkin flavor I choose to make my own and here is the recipe...
1 can of full fat coconut milk
1/4 C. pumpkin puree
1tsp. Cinnamon
1/4tsp. Ground Nutmeg
1/4tsp. Ground Ginger
2Tbsp. Maple Syrup
Add all ingredients into a blender and blend!

If you try it, let me know how you like it!
